Set Up same free products for different Offers

Let’s say you sell books and you want to offer a specific book for free if your customers either buy 3 books (cart-quantity offer >2) or they spend more than 20USD (cart-price offer >19USD).

You need to have specific item for each offer.

Buy One Get One Free Plugin Woocommerce works this way:

  • it uses freelists composed of one or several items;
  • it matches a specific offer to a specific freelist;

So, what you need to is:

CREATE TWO CLONES WITH PRICE SET TO ZERO OF THE SPECIFIC BOOK YOU WANT TO GIVE FREE (remember to set product visibility to HIDDEN)

Either create a new product or if you already have the item in your catalogue, you can clone it. You are going to have the same product in two identical versions:

SET UP TWO DIFFERENT FREELISTS

Now set up your two different freelists (to be matched with your offers) like this:

You’ll notice that Buy One Get One Free will add next to the product name its ID, to allow you to distinguish among the clones.

SET UP YOUR TWO OFFERS

Now that you have your two freelists up and ready, let’s set up your two offers.

If you have setup two offers and you Customer meets both of them, he will be shown both choices.
